Stock Metric Lab (“we,” “us,” or “the Site”) provides educational content and tools for fundamental investors. This policy explains the information that may be collected when you use stockmetriclab.com and how it may be handled.

Information we collect

We may collect information you voluntarily provide, such as details submitted through a contact or subscription form. Our hosting, security, and analytics services may also process technical data such as IP address, browser type, device information, referring pages, and timestamps.

Purchases and refund requests

Digital-product checkout and delivery are provided through Payhip, with payments processed through PayPal. We receive order and customer information made available to us to provide the product, support customers, handle refunds, and maintain necessary business records. We do not receive full payment-card details through Payhip.

Our refund and withdrawal form collects the purchaser’s name, acknowledgement email, order or contract information, any optional statement, and the receipt time. Submissions are stored privately on this website and processed through our website and email providers to acknowledge and handle the request. No marketing subscription is created. We retain these records only as reasonably necessary for handling requests, accounting, legal obligations, and resolving disputes. Contact research@stockmetriclab.com regarding your information.

Stock-analysis request form

If the stock-analysis request form is enabled, we collect the company name, ticker symbol, research questions or comments you choose to provide, consent status, and an email address only when you provide one voluntarily. This information is used to evaluate editorial demand, plan possible research, prevent misuse, and contact you only when clarification is useful.

Submissions are stored privately in the Site’s WordPress administration area and are not displayed publicly. The form uses a short-lived, one-way value derived from the submitting connection’s IP address to limit repeated submissions; the form does not save that raw address with the request, although hosting and security providers may maintain their own technical logs. Request information is retained only while reasonably useful for editorial planning, clarification, security, or legal obligations.

Email subscriptions

Stock Metric Lab offers an optional email subscription for readers who request the DCF Input Checklist and occasional research updates. An email address is the only required field. We do not request portfolio holdings, brokerage-account information, income, net worth, or other investment-account data through the subscription form.

We use Hostinger Reach as our email-marketing service provider. When you submit the form, your email address and subscription status are processed through Hostinger Reach so that we can send a confirmation message, record your choice, deliver requested material, and send the updates you elected to receive. Hostinger’s handling of personal data is also governed by its Privacy Policy.

We use double opt-in. Submitting the form does not immediately add the address to the active mailing list. You must click the confirmation link in the confirmation email before marketing messages are sent. We review and delete addresses that remain unconfirmed for 3 weeks or more.

Active subscriber information is retained until you unsubscribe, withdraw consent, request deletion where applicable, or the service is closed, subject to legal and security requirements. After you unsubscribe, we may retain the minimum suppression information needed to honor that request and prevent further marketing email.

Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing is free and does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal. To request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or withdrawal where applicable, contact Shingo Harada, operator of Stock Metric Lab, at research@stockmetriclab.com. We may need to verify the requester’s identity and may retain information when required by law or necessary to protect the service.

Stock Metric Lab is operated from Japan and serves readers in multiple countries, including the United States. Hostinger Reach and related infrastructure may process information outside the reader’s jurisdiction. We use service providers subject to their contractual and privacy obligations.

We do not sell or rent the subscriber list, and we do not use subscription addresses for unrelated advertising profiles. We may disclose information to service providers that operate the email service, or when reasonably necessary for security, legal compliance, or protection of rights. The subscription is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect children’s email addresses through it. Where applicable, a reader may complain to the relevant privacy authority.

Cookies and analytics

The Site may use necessary cookies for security and administration. If analytics or advertising services are enabled, they may use cookies or similar technologies to measure traffic, understand usage, limit fraud, and evaluate campaign performance. Available consent controls will be presented where required.

Affiliate links and advertising

Some pages may contain affiliate links. If you follow one of these links and complete a purchase or other qualifying action, we may receive compensation at no additional cost to you. Third-party partners process information under their own privacy policies.

Embedded content and external websites

Articles may include embedded content or links from other websites. Those services may collect data, use cookies, or track interactions as if you visited their websites directly. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties.
